Eleventeen Ceramics is created and produced by Denise Porter-Howland in Grey Lynn New Zealand. After studying fine arts in London and Auckland, ceramics became a natural progression from painting with the active choice to bring three-dimensional pieces into manifestation.

The notion, “There is beauty in everything” prevailsas cigarettes, ashtrays and fingers become shining pristine jewellery organisers - A banana skin or apple core double as an ornamental paper weight or book end, a fried egg evolving into a dish. Discarded and abandoned, out dated and forgotten, feelings of profound sadness are re-imagined into pieces of beauty and humour ... the viewer may be attracted to insert their own personal journey and values.
